This is the right way to connect PCI-E ?

OK got a Seasonic X Series Modular 650W PSU

in the picture have i connected the pci-e properly ? ie just using one pci e lead with the two 6x2pin connectors ?

Looks fine

The 2nd cable will be used if you do decide to add a second card*.

*Assuming the motherboard can take a 2nd and not using a super high end cards

Ahhh so it only takes the one to power it?

You still need both connectors to the card but the 2nd spare modular cable would be used for a second card.
