All over the world...
As Jalopnik reports, a BMP light tank was reportedly left stalled on a city street near Mariupol... A gassed-up, fully-loaded tank. Ready to roll. Ready to obliterate some separatists. This is what happened next...

Forward to 46secs when he finds the red big button:eek:

The majority of Tanks / AFV's don't have keys and normally have a padlock on the doors when parked in the Gun park. The crew should have stayed with the vehicle, however very bad drills to leave a weapon system in the open with the general public able to climb in.

The last version of the BMP-1 IFV (BMP-1P, Ob'yekt 765 Sp4), was armed with a more powerful ATGM launcher 9P135M-1 for the ATGM "Konkurs"/"Fagot"

BMP is Fagot.

Lucky no one was killed, not saying that old man wont die but Jesus...
look at that chunk out of the wall.... Shrapnel a go-go .

High explosive ammunition, introduced in 1974, can only be loaded manually, from a conveyor. Auto loaded probably just HEAT in it... lucky...

Wow, that's cray.

Off topic, but why does the YouTube preview slider never seem to work properly? You hover over the timeline and it shows an image but it's never that image at that point in time. WHY?

Imagine the conversation with his CO.

"Sorry sir, we have lost a BMP" - "How did we lose it ermmm, it stalled so we hopped out and left it fully armed and operational, in a residential street."

Jesus

So they could have been captured along with it?

If my tank broke down in enemy territory I wouldn't want to wait for the RAC...
