Hey guys,

Only just got round to getting a 360 and I've only tonight got around to unpacking it from christmas...

I'm trying to download a map pack for gow2 (I've got the gotye) and after trying to enter the code 3 times at different times of the evening, I still get the above message :(

I bought the box from the south american river people and the game was from the people beginning with 'z'

Any ideas? Please forgive my xbox ignorance :D

I've just logged into xbox.com and when I try to enter the redemption code from there, it won't let me change my billing information - country/region from the united states?! Maybe that's the problem! Thing is, it won't let me change it

I just tried to run the initial startup on the xbox again, but this time with the qwerty keyboard option? Still selecting UK as my location...

Has anyone got the helpline to hand? Cheers.

That's the problem I encountered after getting my first 360 out in the states. Bought some game from Microsoft's GOD syatem and ofcourse, they don't work on my UK 360 . Called them up and they can't change my account to being UK or do anything with the games :(. The DLC works fine though along with all my saves :D

Yeah, my gamertag does seem to be locked to the us... When I try to update my contact/billing information all the fields are american; state, zip code etc.

Will they not let you change this on the phone then?

might be an issue with your isp.... Just saying as on certain sites on the web my location comes out very different to what it should be. When you signed up to xbl it's possible it read your location as the US? Obviously your not there so your ISP could have had an issue maybe.

Call the helpline and i'm sure they'll sort it.

I rang the support number yesterday and was told I had to create a new account...

I've decided it was down to me in the first instance not enabling full xbox connectivity on my router when I first signed up to live

I hadn't set up any port forwarding or relaxed any of the rules on my firewall. That's what I think happened anyway, because the second time around everything went fine ;)

Thanks.
