i know the lappy, its not made by advent, thats dsgi's rebranding, its actually made by medion, so it uses a generic chassis, that doesnt have fantastic build quality(it will wear easily, so take care), but as a laptop its a cool machine for basic use and very freindly in terms of battery usage...

Massive Attack got a Dell inspiron 1501 which looks good and for the same price but AMD based. wonder if that would be better?
its only for surfing and light sort of stuff.

id stick with the core 2 to be honest... not only that but dell usually only give 90 day warranty on lappys... and i reckon the core 2 would have better resale value tbh
