Never seen this type of racing before so I thought I would post a video.

Super Trucks are great

Robby Gordon - sportscar, IndyCar, NASCAR and rally driver - is the maniacal genius behind it. It's been going on since 2013 - used to be held mainly on temporary tracks built inside stadiums (hence the Stadium Super Trucks name), now it's almost always on race and street circuits. 600 horsepower V8 engine, tube steel frame, fibreglass bodywork. All the trucks are identical, but the teams and drivers can alter suspension settings.

Bumping this back up on the recent news that this series is now banned in Australia. The Confederation of Australian Motorsport has decreed it as being too dangerous, and the courts have upheld their decision.

Sad times At least it's still able to be run in the US

Sad to hear about this latest development, it was a PC driving sim Automobilista when I first learned of this series.

Ended up watching YouTube to see the races. I have always championed Automobilista whenever I can - it is simply an awesome and often overlooked sim.

Always find it tragic that the less money put into motorsport the better the spectacle. Wish more motorsport like this was popular
