To be fair Fry had a point, the gap is still there regardless if Button wins a few races. Fry was probably just a bit sore thats Button walked away from Brawn after Fry had always fought his corner.

Fry always had bad press but I kind of always liked the guy, in the end he did get the job done and he did eventually get the right people onboard. Which is more than can be said for many other manufacturers that threw money at the sport.

There is a gap, sure. It's a lot smaller now than it was in those first couple months of his employment at McLaren though.

But boy did he look like a sore shoulder-chipped **** when he made those comments and literally the next race Button won

Button didn't walk away from Brawn, he was pushed away from Mercedes.

I think Fry was just a bit bitter about the whole thing. Brawn/Button win, and then Merc muscle in, Button goes elsewhere, and hes left a lot less important in the whole scheme of things.
