Well, my Xpower A-5 tuned up today (no haribos!) - only disappointment apart from no haribos was the 13amp plug - the plastic 'dummy' earth pin was broken off - looks like it has a small plastic bit to hold the plastic earth pin into the plug, but that bit was broken and not all bits of it were in the box! - still the earth pin is intact. Trouble is the cable and plug are all sealed so not as easy as just swap the plug.

Not to worry - you can plug the plastic earth pin in the socket first and then plug it in :D - I'll fix it myself with araldite or something later.

On to testing - had an old Gainward graphics card with fins along its entire length and very dusty but now it looks brand new again :D - very powerful - beats canned air and I can see me using this on many things. Great selection of tools - looks like more than advertised and you get a nice canvas bag to hold them all - it even has an outside zip pocket which I've used to store my 'loose' earth pin so I don't loose it before I fix it.

Good job aside from the two minor issues

If you'd like we'll send you a pre-paid label, box it up send it back and we'll swap it. I'll check the rest of them myself next week to make sure it was an isolated incident.

Apologies for any inconvenience!

Thanks Nik, appreciated, but it's only a small problem that I can easily solve and to be honest I can't be bothered with the hassle of returns for this. Worst case is I can simply put a new plug on it by cutting the old one off or preferably, glue the pin back in the existing plug.

That said, it is a nice bit of kit and will be used on the three rigs I currently run - aside from the plug issue, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Glad you're pleased with it. I'll make a note on the order so if you change your mind it's been reported and you will be able to return it whenever, as long as it's not covered in araldite by then! :)

Not gonna lie ScreenMom sounds like a specialist website. I'm in!

If it's just for cleaning the inside of a pc is the standard version the one to get?

So i have just bought one of these and it arrived 30 mins ago. I have a question.

I have all of the attachments that comes with the Xpower but how on earth do you connect the straw type connecter to the thing ? There isnt anything that shapes down to that size in order for me to connect it, i may be being utterly stupid but i cannot see how it connects :D

Sorry, somehow missed this!

Yes, if you also wanted a really portable sucker as well as blower for say cleaning inside your car or hard to reach places in the home then you can consider this (it does require bags though, available to buy at OCUK soon):

Ordered, can't say no at £35. :)

My price has gone up from distribution unexpectedly. I was told just after I'd put them on offer for you guys last Wednesday for a week, as I'd arranged to buy some extra at a discount for a little sale!

They won't be this price again for a while until $/£ gets a bit better, probs after they raise UK interest rates. Whenever that will be!

Grab them while while you can for this price, the price will go up to the new RRP after the "This Week Only" offers change to the new offers on Wednesday afternoon!

Mine arrived today :). It's more powerful than I thought it would be. Cleaned my front panel/dust filter with it, dust went everywhere :D.

Came with an EU plug with a permenant adapter on it (the ones that clamp round and have screw in), no issue, just most videos show it other way around (UK plug, eu adapter in box), so I guess they changed it. Nice unit though, will save a ton on air cans.
