I've got a 5 year old Seasonic S12 430W which I'm still using & I plan on an upgrade next month which will include:

2500K
A Z68 motherboard of some description
8GB DDR3
80GB SSD
1TB F3 that I bought last week - thanks to the warnings on here.
HD5450 (not planning on gaming with this rig)
2 Optical drives

Just wandering if it would be up to the task If I overclocked, or is it the case of if it 'aint broke, don't fix it.

Thanks.

That's going to be a problem - the AMD board I bought earlier this year had a ATX 8 pin CPU power & fortunately my HX650 had such a lead.

Looks like little sister will get the seasonic as part of her upgrade too.

I'm aware that the lepa is more or less a re-badged Enermax but how quiet is it. The Seasonic is whisper quiet & I want its replacement to be the same. I may go for another Corsair if the TXM series is quiet. Thoughts?

You could just get a 2 quid adapter for the 8 pin ATX.

Well I could but I'll be running the lead under the motherboard. Its only got to work loose & that will mean taking the PC to bits. Taking the PC to bits also means pulling it out of my AV/TV rack as my AV amp sits on top of said PC. It's a pain I know, but I haven't got anywhere else to put the case.
