there goes 300 quid... went and bought the widescreen and x1800 for my new built...

i now have those 2 parts and a power supply..what a way to go on a new built.. piece by piece...

but still waiting for the e6400

Wounding, Some of the stuff i recently ordered went down.

Nice prebuilt systems too, but I suspect they get uber-hot specially oc'd.

7900's put me off them, dodgy line of gpu :|.

Cheers mate. I have my doubts in some of them but I know I've passes 2 (food tech and graphics). Me and my dad made a deal that when I get my results (24th August) he'll treat me to a 7900GT or an equiv one for same price (around £200). So I could have gone for that X1800XT

Don't get the 7900. Look at an alternative. The 7600 is an awesome card. Not quite up there with the spec of a 7900 but still awesome.

Just get an X1800 XT slaughters 7600 GT and cost hardly no more. Its also quicker than a 7900 GT too, has superior image quality, more reliable and cheaper too.

I do like the look of the A64 3700 for only £65! Can anyone suggest which mobo would be a good choice to partner one of these CPUs? Would normally do the research meself, but work committments this weekend will prevent that I think, so any quick suggestions (only 1000 3700's in stock...!) would be gratefully received! Cheers folks.

one of the DFI boards i think mate, although my MSI K8N SLI Platinum overclocked my 3700 san diego nicely to 2.8GHz rock stable
