If VY Canis Majoris was a planet wonder how long it would take to circumnavigate in Earth days.

IIRC correctly it takes light itself, 8 years to get round it!! Now that's ****ing huge

insignificant to say the least. if we do meet ET, then they'll probably be like our american friends by calling us a small planet next to theirs, as the yanks call the UK a small island compaired to the land mass of the US
