I think shattered is perfectly accurate, too old to learn new words which mean the same thing

Got a 4" crack (so far)in the screen from the cold a couple of weeks ago when everything was expanding contracting. No chance of it shattering so it will stay there until they have stopped throwing grit down or it spreads to obstruct the view.
Laminate screens are designed not to shatter as said as the plastic between the two screens prevent it.
How has your experience with Autoglass the 3 times been?no increase in premiums, I've claimed for 3 now
get it done, last thing you want is the entire windscreen to shatter

Been quoted 400+vat for labour and glass by Lexus and would rather go with them but will still have to pay excess of £75 and insurance will only cover £125 so effectively only £50 contribution. If I go with Autoglass, I'm concerned the glass will not be of the same standard as a Lexus fitted one with the sound proofing, UV, heating element tech and all that. Thanks![]()
nothing stopping the glass in the middle shattering, as I've already mentioned and experienced![]()
There is no glass in the middle, it is glass, plastic sheet then another layer of glass preventing it from shattering. Your definition of shattering is different to everyone else's. I have had one of the old tempered screens shatter and that is like a bomb going off in the car.![]()
