Those Pokémon's sure are popular (1.5m in two days)

I don't get it. Why is pokemon so popular over there? I never understood the craze.

DS titles Pokémon Soul Silver and Heart Gold went on sale in Japan on September 12. Pokémon DS games? Bet lots of people bought them.

In they're first two days on sale, Soul Silver and Heart Gold sold 1,408,980 copies of the game. The title sold out at locations across Japan, so the demand is even higher than those sales indicate.

The games are remakes of Gold and Silver, which sold 23 million copies worldwide.

Pretty much the one of the same reasons why people new to Japanese Anime will think that just because it is a cartoon animation with characters with big cutesy eyes (In Pokemon's case, wierd and cute creatures) that it is only for children, well it's not! If you actually get to know the topic at hand, as mentioned before, you will find there is a lot of depth in there and it is a much bigger world than you realise.

I actually like a few anime shows. Death Note is probably my all time favorite anime.
