Hi,

Currently with Three and hopefully can upgrade 3 months early which is about tomorrow.

Was just wondering though a few things, had a look at it today and seems a really nice phone however:

1.) can you add additional software on it, in any shape or form ?

2.) Assume you can change the theme / wallpaper ?

3.) Really how easy do you guys find to type a text message etc with it and do you use the qwerty keyboard or the predictive text ?

4.) Is it well built ? My previous LG kinda fell apart ! :p

umm that's about all i can think of at the mo.

Thanks

ive got a viewty on orange, but you can change the wall paper, ive no idea about additional software atm and honestly....im finding im writing texts quicker on my viewty than on my n95. make of that what you will:) its also better built than my n95 lol. the back cover could have been thicker, but its a great phone really:)

would also like to know this, getting one for xmas with 3.

same, think they do the best deals... altho theyre all friggin 18 month contracts

get one before chrimbo and they got this free 20 bean voucher for accessories however, im waiting till after chrimbo n see if it drops...

all in all, looks a great phone.

Hi,
1.) can you add additional software on it, in any shape or form ?

Yes it supports java applications. It will come preinstalled with a few, the additional ones (X-Series apps) you can download from the 3 portal. At the moment you can download Windows Live Messenger & Skype. Mobilcast is currently being looked at and should be available in a few weeks.

2.) Assume you can change the theme / wallpaper ?

Yes you can. Infact there is a dedicated forum with gallery for KU990 wallpapers and other stuff. Check out www.ku990.co.uk

3.) Really how easy do you guys find to type a text message etc with it and do you use the qwerty keyboard or the predictive text ?

Very easy. Three taps from the main screen to the create a message screen. The keypad/keyboard is bliss especially with the vibra-response, very quick with T9.

4.) Is it well built ? My previous LG kinda fell apart ! :p

Yes it is, not that many moving parts although the fact it is a bit on the light side does somewhat diminish the feel of the phone (I was expecting it to be quite weighty given the look). It's still a really well built phone and having dropped it a few times it can take quite a beating (it hasnt been damaged or scratched).
