I've just built my new I7 2600k build (P8 Z68-VPro / 4*4gig 1866 vengeance). Ive initially clocked it upto 4.0ghz whilst is beds in, its all running fine and I've ran a linx burn for 2 hours and it hits 58 degrees across all 4 cores. Does this seem high considering its under a swiftech appogge block and triple rad.

I've not changed the volts on the CPU, just left it on auto. Obviously there is a chance of air in the loop which will come out with some shaking about. My biggest concern really is that the hold down plate that's holding the block down is a modded s775 one that's been redrilled and I guess there's a small chance it can't apply the correct pressure although unlikely.

Summary: 2600k @ 4.0g max temp 58 degrees after 2 hours 100% CPU linx test.

Not bad temps really; mine gets to about that temp under linx running at 4.5ghz max vcore is about 1.35.

Note I have 3 120.3 rads though.

Also what version of the apogee is it and what are your fan speeds?

The apogee is an oldish gtz/x that I had on the Q9550. The 1155 backplates are widely available but the hold down plates are like hens teeth in the uk. I had a 1366 one from an upgrade that never happened a year ago so it was a toss up between drilling the 775 bigger or the 1366 smaller.

The fans are noctua's @1100 rpm.

Wait you have 3 triple rads?
