Thoughts on 3

Misleading - you fail to mention it can be done only if you use the abroad option often enough to justify it will affect you.

Not really misleading, just cancelled an 18 month contract at the 8 month stage, just for the above reason, not been in any of the 3 like home areas but told them i had a couple of holidays booked in countrys that are.

Got PAC code and they have waivered the remainder of my contract, that's £250 and i get to keep my handset.

The most frustrating thing about them is the fact you get such bad signal quality wherever you go in my experience. It was crap when I was in Cornwall, it was crap when I went to Scotland for a week, its crap when I'm at work in Canary Wharf, it's crap when I'm on the train.

I've had 6 different phones over the span of this 18 month contract, ranging from Sony Ericssons to Nokias and they've all had appauling signal, so it can't be just the phone (i'm on my 3rd N95). Which debranded and unlocked has been fine regarding usage. It really is the network just being shockingly bad.

Come 30th of may, I'll be ringing them up and telling them that I'm cancelling the contract, grabbing my PAC code, and moving to O2. It can't come soon enough.

99% network coverage across the UK my ****!

Cheap and somethings they do like the free skype calls are the only thing going for them, but at the sacrifice of everything else, I'd much rather they focus on sorting out the blackspots where the signal is non-existant.

People on other networks are showing from half to full signal strength. O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-mobile users that I've sat next to on the train on the phone when I've had no signal just proves to me that 3 are the biggest wastes of time and the sooner I get away from them the better!

It doesn't matter whether you have actually used it or not in the past, as if you use it in the future, the charges will still be detrimental since it had previously been free. I have successfully cancelled my Three contract even though I have never used 3LikeHome.

I've never been disconnected or had a bad signal in the 18+ months I have been with 3, I live in the Midlands & travel regularly to London & Essex.

I wish I had known about this before, I recently paid off 3 months so I could leave three. Best decision I ever made......Perfect signal with Vodafone and up to date handsets + cheaper might i add.

Now I have a little chuckle to myself when I walk past the three shop rather than having a molotov cocktail fantasy.

Just cancelled my three contract 6 months early with no penalty because of this three like home thing. It took an hour before I finally finished the call but that was because I let him try to sell me the benefits of three. I have never used three like home.

Just keep saying you want cancel and they are legally obliged to do so.

Crap signal, crap customer service and the deals are not that great.

I was with them many moons ago, had to get the mobile watchdog on the case to get my contract canceled they were that bad.

I wouldnt recommend them to anybody ever, no matter how cheap they are.

Im waiting for my contract time to end so I can transfer out.
signal/general service is rubbish.
Customer service is the worse I have every dealt with.

I strongly recommend you steer clear even though they seem to have the best value for money plans.

i had 2 three contracts. First in 05 and they were awfull, cheap but really bad.

Second one i had a 6month contract before i moved abroad and they were much much improved. No more cut offs or data nosies and customer support only asked for my details once per phonecall.
