I installed ASW2 for my Rift yesterday.
Just about to run a good test of it today in DCS.

There was a good deal of hype prior to it's arrival, just wondering if that was justified.

Anyone got some views on it's effectiveness?

It’s not enabled in dcs, it’s not like asw1 where it was In The runtime , devs have to support it now

yeh well it seem to work, acc is now playable for me...….just.

Still looks terrible and has some stutters but that's not oculus fault, but the new asw2 seems to have helped sort out this mess of a game.

It does appear to have done something.
There's definitely issues still outstanding, though I'm not sure that we can expect ASW2 to solve them. So for example, I had some shimmering on distant buildings.
In general, most things feel a little more "solid". Sorry, can't think of a better way to describe it. Additionally, when frame rates drop under 45, it does seem a little smoother.

Assuming that DCS does not fully support it, let's hope that when they do, that there will be a further enhancement.

Actually I was wrong. According to Oculus 'most Rift apps on the Oculus Store built on Unreal Engine 4 and Unity already provide the depth information required to make ASW 2.0 work', so there are a lot of apps already supporting this, which is very good news.
