Hi. I'm upgrading from a 17 inch widescreen to a 1900x1200 monitor. I'm not sure exactly how big to go though. Once you reach 1900x1200 how much do you find increasing the size increases the experience? At the moment I'm tempted to go for the 21.5 inc h Benq one, but a bit tempted by the 24 inch model for £55 more. Thoughts?

Cheers.

Pretty much in same boat mate :)

I've not sure which size to go for,i went into a shop to see difderence, the 24 are wider than the 21 but not massively bigger north to south if ye know what i mean.

good to know im not the only guy with 17inch screen :P

i want one for gaming so am looking at ones with 2ms repsone rates.

I upgraded from a 19" 4:3 to a 24" 16:9..

The height has been reduced by 1cm, but the width has obviously balooned with the upgrade.

Resolution is 1080x1920

So far loving it, initally the screen looked gigantic, but now that I've become used to it, it feels really pretty average.

I know that 26" screens seem to be the norm around here, so my 24" feels a bit paltry

I actually don't do much gaming, I'm a blogger and most of my work invovles writing content and having windows side by side to read and write stuff. a widescreen is perfect for this.

I bought an LCD when the prices were crashing off OCuk. However I think I would get an LED if I were to make the same decision again.

I would go for at least 23-24in at that resolution, otherwise text (at standard size) looks a bit small imho. Personally I use a 27in 1920x1200 resolution monitor (my old monitor was a 24in with the same resolution) and I feel the size is just right (perhaps I have just got used to it).

Also please bear in mind that most monitors at these price ranges and sizes are 1920x1080 resolution. To get a monitor with 1920x1200 resolution, you have to pay for something like this or go second hand.
