Thoughts on Taylor Swift?

So why does she have a YouTube page? People don't subscribe to that - well not with cash they don't before some smartarse points out you can subscribe in the literal sense.

Music is art, and art is important and rare. Important, rare things are valuable. Valuable things should be paid for. It’s my opinion that music should not be free, and my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album’s price point is. I hope they don’t underestimate themselves or undervalue their art.

Guess she should stop writing songs about love and more about prostitutes then ... not that she actually writes this heart-felt stuff she co-writes it with other people who are really really well known for writing a lot of stuff that sounds very very similar.

Indeed. I appreciate she's there to effectively run a business, but she's stuck thinking in old business models which are probably counterproductive for her.

I'd crawl butt-naked on my hands and knees over broken glass & hot coals just to hear her fart through a walkie-talkie.

I like her music, and I like her on my tv.....I don't really care if she's manufactured or not.

My awful analogy is pizza, I don't mind a dominos from time to time, it looks nice in the pictures and it doesn't leave too bad of a taste in the mouth...

I would....

listen to anything she has to say.... twice.... forever...

She is very cute and I don't mind having a breakup song written about me as long as it was followed by a reuniting song! :D

People can't be serious when they say she's not attractive. Probably just trying to score geek points.

It's not as irritating as the people that rush into threads to write "Who?" as though it's some sort of competition to prove who the leasy culturally aware person on the forums is.

I don't think she puts her back catalog on you tube, just hit singles - which goes into promoting albums etc.. in the same way radio play, MTV etc.. does. And like the radio, MTV etc.. she'll still get a cut when they're played - you tube pay for views. But I guess the real money is still albums and tours - and the albums are not available on you tube but were previously on spotify AFAIK.

It was Ian McKellen's old place, according to this interview, or perhaps he was just as a guest of Peter Jackson. 2 min 20 in.

Still, imagine owning something like that let alone two big expensive places.

I wonder what her music will be like once she reaches 35. Scary thought, 2025.
