hey guys

i'm in the middle of building my new upgrade and thought i'd come in here to see what other photographers have found running photoshop or lightroom with the new Threadripper processors?

I do a mixture of photo and video editing, so automatically chose Threadripper for my new build without even thinking about it... but just wondering now if there's any resources about how Threadripper deals with image editing software yet?

thanks for any information you can give :D

I have no problems using a 1920x and photoshop/bridge CS6. It's certainly no slower than the i7 4820K that I used previously. Some effects in photoshop can certainly place load on all 24 threads but not all tasks can. The current CC version may be better in this regard.

I'm still using an i7 from 4 years ago, still works fine processing my D810 photos and videos and the threadripper pee's all over it stats wise. 16gb 2400 ram helped though when I upgraded.
