Threadripper X3D?

L3 is a burner layer of cache and not all processes require cache to burn. Many tasks only require kilobytes of cache to operate and if you can hit layer within a clock or two 16/32 times the next layer provides no benefit.
I mean if its going to perform the same or better in every scenario, then whats the point of the regular one? Just a waste of resources

Cheaper. My 7700 was under £200. Which X3D octo core is under £200?
if you want cheaper there would be the lower end chips like I mentioned - point im making is that I dont see any use in having a 9950x and a 9950X3D

For more budget builds and chips it makes sense to have the regular variants
