Threads with Youtube videos cause Firefox to grind to a halt

I also can't load that page, firefox just goes lags like crap.

Been having issues like that with firefix for the last few versions. Tried all the usual tricks, removing all add-ons, new profile etc.

Loads fine using Vivaldi and Edge.

Not exactly the same issue as OP but I would always use chrome to watch twitch because firefox couldn't play it properly and recently I've used microsoft edge for streaming video on sites (like on giant bomb) because firefox didn't work even after reinstalling flash. It's a shame because I like firefox in general.

That link was ok with firefox + ad block pro.

I love Firefox but it's really poop compared to Chrome. Wherever I go Firefox is causing problems, something is fundamentally wrong with the browser and it's been like that for years.

Can't remember the details now, but delays in the past could be down to using your ISP domain name server and them caching youtube stuff.I think you can change the browsers dns somehow.
Maybe someone can remember the details.

Unlikely to cause FF to grind to a halt.

Firefox is not a multiprocess browser that why.

I think it has like 2 processes. One is the main firefox.exe and the other is the flash.exe process. All that contents is being pushed down the same pipes, hence the grinding to a halt.

You can over come this with ever powerful hardware but you really shouldn't need a top end i7 for browsing.

Chrome is much better in this regard, being a multiprocess browser form day 1.

I don't use my ISP's DNS, I use Google's (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4).

I've been using OpenDNS for a long while, hasn't made any difference to FireFox.

FireFox is the only browser on my pc that has this issue, IE11, Edge and Vivaldi all work great.
