I have a couple of these that I bought a few years ago from Amazon that I never used, they are still sealed in their packaging.

I was just about to pass them on to someone when I read that these cards can expire if not used. Now on the back of the packaging it says Oct10, but doesn't mention it being an expiry date or anything.

It is purely a Three 3G data sim that has either 3Gb of data or 3 months usage limit on it
Does anyone know if these will still be okay to use or are they useless now?

Thanks

Chances are that they'll be useless - so don't sell them as working! But worst case you'll just get an "Inactive SIM" message on the handset or device so it's not the end of the world to give it a shot and see whether it works. Can't lose anything besides 5 minutes of time.

Like most I am a heavy user of these sims as I use them on my iPad when going on trips.
I buy the 3GB for 90 days/3 months ones, though I stopped about 6 months ago because their price shot through the roof.

Now unless something has changed those 90 days do not begin until you first use the sim by popping it into a device. There shouldn't be an expiry on it period. Phoning 3 would be a good move, or better still check their website before you do so to save time.

Phoning Three would be the best idea here. I would imagine though if you ordered them around 2010 that they've likely expired. Otherwise have a look through Three T&Cs, there should be something in there about expiration of inactive SIMs.
