Three mobile - forced contract change

I switched mine to Threes 200 mins, unlimited text, unlimited data, 12gb tether, 12 months, £18/month (think its gone up to £20 now though).

Actually cheaper than what I was paying on the One Plan after upgrading to an iPhone :D

I don't know how you can use that much data. Everywhere I get 3G signal I find a free WiFi hotspot. The only exception is when I am on top of a mountain, great signal but no wifi :D

I am on the same plan paying £13 a month, how do you know they are changing the contract? I have received nothing telling me so.

I only use about 2GB data a month so can easily switch but need to be on 3 as I travel abroad a lot to the countries I can use my allowance in.

This Vodafone deal is really good, £20 with 20GB and a free subscription service.

http://www.vodafone.co.uk/shop/bundles-and-sims/sim-only-deals/b/index.htm

if you already subscribe to Netflix or Spotify etc then that makes the contract really cheap.

"Enjoy 12 months of Netflix, Spotify Premium, a NOW TV Entertainment Pass or Sky Sports Mobile TV. We’ll send you a text with details on how to choose your entertainment pack after we’ve processed your order."

Can also get around £80 cashback also.

I'm tempted to try BT, signal looks ok for my area but there's no payg sims to try before I buy. I'm wondering if they would send me one out?

So, I'm one of those people that are being forced off an older tariff as Three are money-grabbing arsehats...

Currently paying £15 p/m for 2000 minutes, 5000 txts and unlimited data.

They now want £33 p/m for unlimited everything (which is the closest to my minutes and data that they offer).

As such they can go do one, however I have no idea where to go from here.

Are there any good contracts around (either 1 month rolling or 12 month) that give me what I was originally on for around £15 a month?

funny thing is i managed to speak to them over the phone when i asked for a pac code or w/e its called and got unlimited everything for £20 pounds a month just ask them you want to speak to there manager.

but didn't have an old contract was just a £10 a month one thats about a year old which only had like 2gb data with 200mins or somthing like that.

im tempted by BT Mobile....

£16 for 20gb, unlimited calls/texts
£35 quidco and currently £40 amazon or itunes voucher too.

:)

£42 topcashback!

EE are running half price deals at the moment but the normal price is higher than the non deal tariffs. I think this may have something to do with the annual price increases - we'll see!

Do you get the full EE data speeds on bt? The same priority on the network as EE customers?

I've heard that giffgaff customers don't always get the same data performance as o2 customers!

Hi if you take any of the standard BT mobile tariffs then the 4g data speed is capped at 30meg, but you can now pay £4 per month extra to get the full double speed. The extra payment is classed as an add on, so if you want to stop it at any time you can as they don't lock you into a 12 month contract for that, unlike the main contact which is for 12 months.

My three contract is up so I called them yesterday with the intention of cancelling for the £16 BT deal (I was paying £22 for 600mins and unlimited data, 12 month contract with three). The lady went away and offered me unlimited everything (with 12gb of tethering) for £20 a month so I snapped that up.

My Dad (who was on a rolling contract) tried to get the same deal and they said it doesn't exist (this was only a few hours after I got given the deal).

I think I got lucky.

Cheers for that. Do you know their tethering policy? I know you can tether on EE

I'm currently on the one plan and need a replacement that allows tethering.
Cheers
