My other half is at the end of her contract with Vodafone and she's seen a decent deal through Three but I was wondering what the coverage was like, specifically in the Chesterfield/Derbyshire area but also nationwide???

I seem to remember people saying the coverage being pretty rubbish a few years ago - has anything changed?

Thanks.......

Its better than the coverage I got with o2 although I haven't been with them long enough to comment on how it is nationwide.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Can I also ask, do the speeds at which the internet works vary from network to network or are they all much of a muchness??

My o2 speed can range from OK to downright abysmal, even if it shows as "HSDPA" on the handset!?!?

Doesnt look to bad signal wise.

The way im going to test is I have ordered a Pay As You GO sim and going to put £15 on it and see how it fairs on my 3gs.

Coverage maps aren't accurate in the slightest. My entire area has no signal on Three according to that, yet I get a fairly decent signal with a Three SIM :p

Yep im on o2 at the moment and in some parts of Worcester theres no signal but i dont normally have a issue.

My misses is on Three and has no end of issues. So want to do my own test to see what its really like.

Its hard to ignore the good deals three have. Cant decide on the iPhone 4 or Galaxay s2 grrrrr

Used to struggle with 3 in Chesterfield a year or two ago, not sure if they've improved it since. O2 seems to be a pretty safe bet round here, I take my phone running and still manage to get signal miles out in the middle of nowhere
