Three network, messages down?

Anyone else on the Three network receiving NO text messages from any other network at all?
I bought a new phone last week and since I have had it, I have received no incomming texts (apart from texts from 3 themselves).

I have asked people on every other mobile network to text me and nothing comes through. I can send texts fine however.

After speaking with 3 tech support they said as I can receive texts from Three that the problem must lie with the other networks, yes the whole of O2/Orange/T-mobile/Vodafone etc has gone down :rolleyes:

After arguing that was highly unlikely they finaly admited that yes there was a problem and that nobody on Three has been receiving texts since Friday!

Even this I find hard to believe, but can't confirm it as I can't find anyone else on Three, hhhmmmm wonder why.....

So anyone here on Three not receiving texts?

My Three phone sends/receives texts fine today from Orange network.

Mine is absolutely fine, with every network. Been sending and recieving messages a lot since thursday last week, everyday.

My advice would be to call up and ask to cancel. They'll likely pay a lot more attention to your problem and also quite possibly offer you a discount to stay.

Slowly working through tech support, its a brand new phone just got it Friday. There pretty stumped, gone through the advanced reset techniques of removing the battery and sim and now its passed onto 2nd line.

Least I know its not the network, (thanks for replys) which means I either have a bad sim or phone and there adament there both fine.

It was a PAYG phone, skypephone S2. Nothing special but I would at least expect it to work. Skype works great though, shame about the calls and texts!

Did you buy it online or instore? You might be able to get the SIM card replaced instore if you bought it instore and ask nicely.

Over the phone direct from Three, I asked them to send me another SIM out but they said no its not the SIM. Bit silly when you can just get them for free off threes site anyway.

So days have passed and no joy from Three. A little summary of my pain

When people try to contact me from the following networks.

Vodafone = no texts or calls incomming
Orange = texts but no calls
O2 = Calls but no texts
T-Mobile = calls and texts are working

Anyone have a mobile number starting 07575 and can confirm that they cannot receive incomming calls from Vodafone and Orange?

Basicaly Three has said this is a new batch of numbers and some networks are a little slow updating there systems and as such when they dial these numbers it shows "wrong number" on the handset.
