how do you find them? quite interested in the upgrade to 4g at no extra cost, looking to get a 12month sim only plan, three is ticking all the boxes so far

any three users? what has it been like for you?

Been on three for the last 18 months, no problems, support has been good when I've had problems, left T Mobile after 8 years to go them, T Mobile were dire.

Pretty awesome, unlimited fast data, good coverage. However in some areas Three can be really bad so I would recommend maybe getting a Sim card and try it out for abit before committing too 12 months.

I get decent signal at home and brilliant signal in town and work, get around 4-6mb at home 10-12 at work and unlimited data on top of that.

As long as you don't have to deal with their customer service they are by far the best network in a long shot.

Love the unlimited data & fast speeds it is a joy to use.

From coverage side nothing bad to say in the 10 months I have been with them.
Excellent general coverage, especially in difficult areas and data always solid.
Had a full H+ data signal up a mountain in Wales in the summer!

Only issue I have is they seem to want to bombard me with calls on special offers and deals.
Just started blocking the numbers now, but a bit of a pain.

Agreed. Customer Service is shockingly bad.

Had some account number issues when the wife signed up to 3 too which involved us going to a store to sort etc, but apart from that.

Consensus seems to be a lot of people on here have a good/great experience with them. Then the odd few like myself.

  • Terrible data coverage across London
  • Takes ages to normalise/get signal if I come out from the underground
  • Indoor is poor a lot of the times
  • Don't even bother at London Bridge, Waterloo or Notting Hill Carnival - simply doesn't like large crowds of any sort
  • Constantly misrepresents what signal I actually have
  • Extremely poor speeds when I try Speedtest, real world performance is fairly good

Unlimited and free 4G are keeping me going.

i've had next to no problems with three, i get full H+ signal inside and outside with a constant 12mb+ download and 3mb upload i see higher.

i did lose signal for about 15mins on a train ride down to Nottingham.. :P

Maybe its your phone

A possibility, I am seeing my friend at the weekend who is also with 3 and has GS4. Can compare and hopefully shed more light on it.

    - I get it every where and i do mean every where.
  • Takes ages to normalise/get signal if I come out from the underground

    - Mine connects instantly
  • Indoor is poor a lot of the times

    - You crazy
  • Don't even bother at London Bridge, Waterloo or Notting Hill Carnival - simply doesn't like large crowds of any sort

    - Not here
  • Constantly misrepresents what signal I actually have

    - Don't know what you're on about
  • Extremely poor speeds when I try Speedtest, real world performance is fairly good

    - Crazy. Often faster than my home found connection

Unlimited and free 4G are keeping me going.

3 has been nothing short of great for me

I've been on payg to trial it coming from voda.
I've found the signal good, it isn't quite as good at home. But I was at Santa pod last weekend that is a complete black hole for most - 3 is bang on there, it was fantastic to communicate with people calls & texts woooot! and even better to be able to update fb status photos etc actually be able to get eurodragster to check lastest standings etc etc
And to boot there pricing is one of the cheapest - I did ring voda today (moment of weakness) to see if they could do a deal on a note 3 - I told them what 3 were doing it for, he said "really? I can't get anywhere near that!"

Tempted to go for the Essential Internet SIM 600 12 months, with my discount, hopefully, it'll be £4.90 per month, coming from a pay & go no data O2 sim on my Lumia 800.
