Three Tethering Block.

Firstly for those who don't know three block tethering if you have all you can eat data on your contract. Just tried with a laptop at a family members house and it sends you straight a page explain its blocked etc.

Secondly has anyone found a work around for this. I'm by no means a heavy user when tethering, if I do then its no more than half hour or so browsing. I use ~2gb a month in data without tethering so I don't see what difference a small amount of browsing on a laptop will make.

On a GS2 if it helps on ICS

works on my gs2 on three... always has i'm on stock ICS xxlph, unless its a new thing?

Dunno wouldn't work for me earlier on text 500 plan with all you can eat data.

'The One Plan' is required for tethering.

I am on root and my tether works fine on non one plan

Just plugged my phone in. I'm on text 500 with unlimited data addon.

It only works on The One Plan or with the addon.

are you rooted or stock rom? also what tethering process are you using?

Rooted, ICS through the system menu's

I had that page every time I went on the internet using 3g/Hsdpa until I rooted and then changed to ICS. I've never even tried to use the tethering feature. Weird.

I think it's about time they implemented this. I've experienced deteriorating performance since I was first on the One Plan (I use about 2-3GB a month). Speeds are so slow at peak times in places that I left them just this week.

Since they brought out these unlimited plans, the three network has been brought to a crawl in a lot of places due to congestion.

At least the dongles have finite amounts which prevent people going crazy on their usage.
