ThreeUK increasing Prices

Same thing has happened with Orange/T-Mobile recently, and as usual Ofcom basically didn't care, and did nothing, as they've covered RPI in the contract, although it is debateably against the rules; so unfortunately I cant see anything happening here.

Good luck all who try to do soemthing about it, it does seem a bit off for new customers to get better deals than outstanding ones!

At any given time most networks have people on older uneconomical plans, their attitude throughout the industry seems to be buyer beware and do your own research.

Tbh if this causes loads of folk to leave 3 and take up more expensive contracts elsewhere it'll only strengthen my data, so thanks guys, fight the good fight, viva la revolution.

Yes and it states that "we will let you know at least one month in advance
if we decide to: 1,2,3". They have done this. It also states that: "You can end the agreement for such variations as explained in Section 10."

As the none of the 3 exceptions apply to this situation - I feel that I am within my rights to cancel.

Best advice, take it to a lawyer to look at, if that's out of your budget ask a law student, there may be accepted precedent that supersedes a simple read of the law as presented on a basic contract copy.

I have no issue with three and will probably be upgrading my Galaxy S to an S3 when my current contract ends. £34 a month for a phone that retails sim free at £500 is still quite a good deal since you would need some form of contract for it. I couldnt really live without my all you can eat data now that I have it.

£34 a month for two years is £816. The contract gets you 2000min, 5000txt and 5000 three to three mins (My wife is on three so usefull for me) Also unlimited data.

Giffgaff for the 10 a month gives you 250mins and ultd txts and internet. With the cost of the phone upfront at £500 it would still cost £740 over the two years and I would have to find £500 from somewhere to purchase the phone :)

Dont forget £110 cashback on the one plan (TCB or Quidco)!

Actually works out cheaper than phone outright + giff gaff

Also I believe with three you can sometimes get an early upgrade offer if you take out another contract so if that is possible I will of course just upgrade early and save myself money of my orginal contract since It will move to the new one, not sure this is possible all the time though.

This isn't possible on my contract with them (TOP) until the final month of the contract.
