Following the advice someone gave in the slow gigabit lan thread, I decided to fire up iPerf and see what numbers it came up with.
Wireless client (128bit WEP) - wired host gave me 20-22 Mbps. Is this good? If not what should I be aiming for? I was shocked at how much difference connecting to the wirless router rather than my AP made, connected to the router left me down in the low teens!
Wireless - Wireless was predictably pretty awful.
Having trawled the Sticky for this info i came across the fact that short preamble gives better throughput, so that is my next thing to tinker with.
