Throw me a CPU model!

Yea, slow response - was finding out what the heck this GPS thing was - turns out its actually a thing, but only affects the more business focuses intel chips.

Well it's a decent chip, but no powerhouse.

Since it sounds like you want a laptop do you have an overall budget for the laptop?

No, I'll just do a comparison at the end.

Well right now one of the more popular high-end laptop CPUs is the i7-4700HQ (don't worry, this doesn't have vPro either :)).

This is a quad core CPU with hyperthreading (so 8 threads) and is clocked at 2.4GHz but can Turbo boost up to 3.4GHz. Also, since it uses the Haswell microarchticture it has around a 5% instructions per clock advantage over an Ivy Bridge based CPU (and a massive IPC jump compared to a Core 2). Prices for laptops using this CPU seem to start at around £1000 (though there may be some cheaper ones if you look around).

integrated government GPS trigger
They are in your pc tracking were it goes and shutting it down to scare you.

on another note WTF do you actually want, desktop? go with an i7 4770k, mobile? get out of here you troll?, ASCI... just what

I know what your own about regarding intel so amd then.

if this isn't the case with amd then please correct me i haven't heard any news about it.

I am thinking of something like this

The cpu will pack a punch, i think 8gb will be enough and a 260x in case you want to do some gaming if not then get a 240 or nvidia equivalent.

But i think this one below will be more realistic for you if you do not want to spend much at all.
