just wanted to know. Shold i be using my pc whilst it is thunder and lightening? i have surge protection on my extension cable and mother board has surge protection.

Should i be worried?

Surge protectors are still not a 100% safety net, things can still be overloaded by lightning strikes as there is a slight delay before the surge protector kicking in.

Huge storms coming in. Just gaming with a mate of mine and chatting in Vent. He has got big thunderstorms up in Whitby and I have the same in Reading. :eek:

Best to stand outside holding a long metal pole up in the air. This will divert any lightning away from your expensive equipment.
