Hi,

I have several email accounts set up on Thunderbird at the moment, was wondering if it is possible to set one account to work in offline mode and leave the rest as normal?

Cheers.

Can do this for each email account.

Yeah I looked at that but I can't find anything that suggest offline operation. It's only things like "IF in offline mode...do this"

To get into offline mode you have to go to File>Offline>Work Offline, don't you? But that puts all accounts into offline mode...

Ah right I see what you mean now. :o

You could still do what I suggested for one email account. Then go offline. So one account would be available to you. Not exactly what you want but fairly close.

I think I've made it work...sorta.

I set it not to query the server at the set intervals and startup for that particular account...seems to be working...

Thanks anyway :)

Yep, pretty much.

Basically it was my old Uni account which had expired but I still wanted to access the messages saved in thunderbird. It kept prompting me for a user name every time it looked for messages so I thought offline mode would prevent that.

This way seems a bit more straightforward... :D

Yes, they are downloaded and saved in Thunderbird. The uni one is IMAP, but the other accounts I have are POP3.
