Thunderbolt upgrade on laptop?

Hi,

I have a gaming laptop which is about 4 years old now and does not have a thunderbolt slot and I upgraded to a new thunderbolt docking station and therefore my laptop is no longer compatible but is there any way to make it work with my docking station?

The make and model number
Of your laptop would be useful information

It have usb c ?
It might possibly do something over usb c
Though may be less bandwidth or lose features
I must admit even though my motherboard possesses
2 thunderbolt ports
It's not something I ever played around with
Since thunderbolt devices tend to be more expensive than
Their usb counterparts I just used usb

So definitely not something I have experience with
But hopefully someone will come along
And be able to help you more
Probably some of the guys use apple which seems
To make more use of thunderbolt

Thunderbolt 3/4 is compatible with USB 4 but since your laptop is 4 years old im guessing that it doesnt have USB4
