Thunderstorm!

To the OP. How odd - I've been in Woodstock all day and no storm and now I'm back home in central Oxford and there's no sign of a thunderstorm. All I've seen all day is a few showers.

There's only some heavy looking dark clouds in my part of the world.

Gotta larf at 'up north' though. A bit of rain and the whole place vanishes under a 'Day After Tomorrow' style flood. Being one those Southern Dandy's we never suffer that problem. Then again it never really rains that much down here either...

(Waits for Mid-August drought orders from Thames Water...)

Me and the gf got a whole week off next week. Checked the weather today.

Monday: Rain
Tuesday: Rain
Wednesday: Rain
Thursday: Rain
Friday: ****ing Rain.

I honestly can't believe it.

Welcome to my world ...

Sunny here
I'd much prefer a good thunder storm. Witnesses a corker out in Prague a couple of weeks back. Lots and lots of fork lightening going in just about every direction across the sky (including downward obviously! :))

Im in Lincoln, loadsa lightning, just watched a tree outside someones house get hit and set on fire...at least...I think it was the tree and not the actual house. Fire service has been there a while now, bit worrying.

Getting quite intense over the south of Nottingham - couple of strikes every second - top floor office so fantastic views.

Yes it's been awesome here in Notts. Saw a bolt come down at what couldn't of been very far away (the sound was almost instantaneous with the bolt).

I love thunderstorms :D

Massive storm over Bicester, oxfordshire right now!

We have a corragated metal roof which makes the rain sound twice as hard!

The rain/hail is so hard, it has flatterned all the stinging nettles and plants outside!

Where in bicester do you work mate?
I heard that the roof of homebase caved in about a year ago due to the weight of the rain, watch yer bonce!!

First good storm here in Derby for a while.

Only problems was I had both my wife's bike and my bike in pieces in the garden. Queue some very quick reassembly! :D

I love storms and did for sometime have Begoe as my patron Deity!!!

Was pretty intense here in Notts city center. Huuuage flash and instantaneous thunder following it, oh and it was the type of thunder you actually *feel* as well as hear.
