Thunderstorm!

had around 20 mins to half an hour of thunder + lightening a little while after I made my thread about the plane...

Ooh, I was wondering if this thread would resurface :D . It's very 'squirly' in Aylesbury, with the odd distant rumble of thunder.

Looks promising.

Edit: It's kicking off now! Time to get my kite out.

yeah its right above me here. i just took a walk round the shops and when it kicked off i just felt the change in the air. i love thunder storms lol

My storm's gone now :( . Short, but one of the more active ones I've seen recently, with near continual lightning and thunder. It's heading away east now, so heads up to Luton and the like.

Blue skies are coming in behind it.

And that's the weather for the Aylesbury area. :D

It got warm a few days ago, i bought a fan, because last summer was unbearable in my room. Since i bought the fan, it's rained for 8 days. :(

It's just arriving in Rochdale , on my thunderstorm scale it's an 'Underwear Changer'

Few flashes, bit of a growl, few drops of rain, bit of wind and...

It appears to be over. No fun :(

/OT - where abouts in the 'dale are you?

Had a few distant rumbles here in West london but thats it - had some heavy bursts of rain but nothing prolonged.

Tis dry now - light cloud about - hopefully some more thundery weather will pass our way over night!

I do love a good thunderstorm ... but as has been mentioned theres a real lack of them around london recently :(

Sweet, this just got to Lincoln, the sky went realy dark, then a flash of lightning then "BOOOOOM" and then it started to chuck it down
and sine has got darker, and faster.

Im not watching people play football on the uni football pitches, and they dont even seem to have noticed its raining.... Strange people!
