I saw on the news this morning that we were supposed to be experiencing torrential localised downpours and thunderstorms across East Anglia and the SE... So far in Cambridge the day has got steadily brighter and more pleasant without a thunderstorm in sight.

Has anyone actually witnessed this climatic catastophe the seers from the MET predicted?!

I was looking forward to a good thunderstorm

Dundee had this at about 3am this morn, what a nice wake up call it was loudest it has been for quite a while!

Everyone else I've spoken to here had it about 4am so it must just be you getting an early taster.

Very impressive sounding though, it can't have been far from my flat at all.

Yup had thunder and lightning for about an hour from 9 this morning, then just peeing it down.

Quite a nice evening though.
