Thunderstorms

Had it it around 4pm yesterday, there were only 3 lightning strikes but they got extremely close to the house by the sound of it. I also was looking at my window, and got a slight shock when the third one hit. Never experienced anything like it.

Was an impressive storm. Didn't last long though. Blew over some metal garden chairs that had survived every other storm this winter, so must have been some high wind speeds.

Never experienced wind that severe before in my life! Took the roof clean off our shed and blew heavy garden furniture all over the place, although no thunder or lightening here, just extremely heavy hail.

Is that classed as a supercell? Can't of lasted more than a few minutes here.

Never seen wind and rain like that in a long long time. It only lasted maybe 10 minutes, but wow.

It also spawned a tornado!

Awesome storm here too, the cold air was racing behind the warmer air over the uk

No, just a very active squall line

It was great over in north wales. Went from sunny to sideways hail with lightning in about 10 mins. Thunder directly overhead but it was all cleared up in 15-20 mins.

Was up at Holy Island, Northumberland last night i've been for a long weekend, last night there was a terrific thunderstorm, sheet, cloud to cloud and cloud to ground strikes, was very active and very loud, fitting end to the holiday.

Just had a pretty heavy one here in north antrim, quite heavy rain but thankfully it has subsided now.
