ThunderX3 Core

Ended up returning the chair due to it having bad quality control. The seat base wobbles side to side and slides forwards and backwards after only using it for a few days.
Good to know, thanks! I've still not pulled the trigger on anything.

I got one on b grade from here, was a bit of a journey.

First they only sent the chair and the mechanism, so it couldn't be built, after a dropping them an email it was quickly rectified with the second box, being sent , no cushions/ foot rest but i didn't need them.

One screw was missing but the spares it included replaced it just fine.

So for £ 250 i saved a bit and the chair is comfy.

Caveats -

the arms rests
have a lot of wiggle/ play in them when not unlocked to turn/ move forward or back.

The lumbar support
It's free floating with no resistance, so it moves when you move, which i guess is the point but it makes for settling in the chair a bit disconcerting with how it makes the body move.

Mechanism
As it's main selling point it feels limited and who ever designed this didn't think much of the end user

The seat tilt only has two settings angled or flat, with no lock to settle inbetween.

The back rest angle adjustment is the lowest and furthest back and directly under another adjustment toggle so you have to be gifted with long arms or lean over the side or even stand bent over the chair to unlock it, or even be a contortionist.

Seat placement forward and back is good and allows for locking it in place.

I dunno if this is because it's b grade or a just how it's made but once set up it's great but in summary it's a bit of a faff on to get there.

i got the grey fabric.
