Probably been mentioned 101 times, but, why has it changed to tiberium... wasn't it tiberian before?

Tiberium is an alien substance, I'm presuming from the planet Tiberia. Tiberian Wars is about all things Tiberian whereas the latest one is the fight for Tiberium.
This is a guess here, but Tiberium (and afaik the crystals have ALWAYS been Tiberium) refers only to the crystals.
Tiberium was found near to the river tiber (as per the storyline). Tiberian, perhaps means "of the" or "tiber-like" for instance Tiberian War, war of the tiber?
My only guess as to why Tiberian Sun was called such would be that some quality of the river would hold as a meaningful description of the sun

Yeah Tiberium and Tiberian are 2 different things. n00b 
Tiberium is the noun and Tiberian is used when describing something that has tiberium to do with it. I guess you could use Tiberian Wars. But Tiberium wars sounds better.
The Reiver Tiber was named after Emperor Tiberius also.
