i don't want this to be another rant against Ticket*******, although they're the main/major culprits, but seeing as i believe they're the ones who have started the trend and made it aceptable to others, why not include them?

anyway: one thing that ****** me off immensely is the fee for "box office collection" - they're a goddamn box office, they handle tickets' that's their PURPOSE IN LIFE, so how can they start charging a fee for it? aside from this though, i passed our little club the other date, the O2 Academy in Newcastle (name and shame) and there was a sign up saying they charge for credit card purchases...and now charge a £2 cash handling fee!!! FFS, are these money-grubbing scum taking the ****?! a CASH HANDLING FEE?! You're a goddamn vendor, you sell things, taking money is part of your ******* job description! what next, a "petrol storage fee" when you go to fill up your car? cash handling fees when you go pay for your piint at the pub?

how do we start a campaign/petition to get this sort of sht stopped? i regularly seem to rack up >30% costs through ticket*******, you see "Tickets £25" on the advert, and by the time you've paid the service fee (hardly a decent service either, usually only get to pick "bet available" rather than seeing a seating plan and selecting a seat) and postage/collection, you've paid over £40. these ***** must be raking in thousands and thousands per gig.
and don't even start me off about VIP tickets/high demand tickets being "sold out" seconds afte release, only to appear at 3x the price on sites that surprisingly happen to be owned by TB themselves.

While I agree with you in principle, your description and "disguised" swearing are going to land you in hot water with the mods. I would edit your post.

The issue I have with this is they charge to pick up/they charge to send in the post (about £6-8 when it's £3.30 for Special Delivery with RM)

You screwed whichever way you order tickets - ticket processing fee + pickup/sendout fee etc adds about 15% onto the price of the ticket.

The cheapest SD option is over £6?

Also don't forget the ticket sellers will see very little if any money from the face value of the ticket, the extra fees are where they make their profit.

As long as people still use these crooks, these crooks will continue to use these additional fees to fleece the paying public.
