tidying up cables

How do people here do it?

I have so many behind my desk, pc/tv/xbox/speakers/modem/v box its just a complete mess!

I tried to use these small clip things you stick to the back of the desk and then run cable ties through to tie the cables up at the back out of the way but its not actually that tidy!

A complete nightmare of a job tbh :/

Most of my wiring goes into the walls or under the floor/into the ceiling so not too much is visible. It's a pain but is worth it for the tidiness factor.

The spiral wrap stuff + zip ties. Problem is I have now changed keyboard and can't remove old one without unfastening lots of it.

Going to pop over to Homebase in a bit and see if I can get some of that cable wrap as it is quite handy

if I owned my own house in would spend a fair amount on building my own dedicated and build sockets, usb ports into it and hollow sections for cables.

I splice all the power leads into a choc block and run them all off one plug with an uprated fuse.

I used to use zip ties but now just let it all hang down as no one can really see the mess.

The spiral stuff can get a meter on ebay for bugger all, good stuff tbh used it on everything XD

I gaffa tape all mine to the wall and desk and call it modern art.

Cable ties if air flow, access or looking like a mess is an issue. Otherwise I just let them hang as they are.

The slotted trunking used in PLC cabinets is the best. You can add or remove wires at any time with ease unlike the spiral stuff which requires you to unwrap the lot just to remove a single wire!
