Tiger Bread

I love it.

3 weeks back I made a not-as-impressive-as-the-one-linked-here sammich for a picnic.

800g loaf, halved horizontally and buttered
Layer of pepperoni slices
Layer of goats cheese slices
Layer of salami slices
Layer of blue danish cheese slices
Layer of parma ham

OM NOM NOM NOM!

Ate the whole thing over 30 minutes, hehe.

I work (part time) on a the bakery in the local Sainsbury's, the topping is basically a paste made with (mainly) rice flour. I think there's a bit of olive oil in there too. Not sure.

And yeah, if you think it smells bad after baking, try a whiff of the paste

Edit: I made a giant one once. It was awesome.

Sesame seed oil as well :D

Occasionally have one of these, but I tend to just eat it to quickly.

Normally cut it in half and then halve one of those to form a suitable sandwich base. Then add freshly cooked Swedish meatballs and grated cheese for a good sandwich experience. Either that or ASDA chicken pankoras (freshly cooked) and spread the bread with the yogurt and cucumber dressing).

I believe the term is nom nom nom nom nom nom

try cutting thick slices and making cheese and ham toasties on the george foreman with it, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

On a similar line I have just made myself some tiger bread "pizza's" 2 nice thick slices of tiger bread, gently toast one side. Flip them over, tomato puree with lots of cheese and then some sliced mushrooms to finnish. Whack it back under the grill and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

By the way.

Tiger bread + Nutella works.

Really works.

Wouldn't expect it but lord it's good.

i tried this just because it has an awesome name but wasn't totally impressed... the actual bread part was nice and the crust tasted ok but the crust was way too tough and chewy... is this normal or did i just get a bad loaf?
