Could someone please explain how one upgrades their system from Tiger to Leopard? Retailers don't seem to have the single Leopard system on disc to purchase? Only Snow Leopard which is just an upgrade for Leopard itself, not an entire new system?

Will I have to take my MB into Apple, bend over and have them shaft me once again?

Forgot I made this thread!

Si105, thanks dude. I couldn't find any retailers selling the software but that does indeed work :p

electric ant, seriously? Why is Snow Leopard so much less expensive than Leopard then? I'm sure everyone said upon the Snow Leopard release that you couldn't go straight from Tiger to Snow Leopard, you had to have the Leopard infrastructure first?

I'm pretty sure the snow leopard upgrade only works
Leopard --> Snow leopard
and that you will need a full retail snow leopard disc to install it over tiger.

Technically that's breaking the licence conditions because part of the conditions of the 'upgrade' Snow Leopard pack say that you must have a fully licensed version of Leopard installed on your system to start with. If you want to upgrade from Tiger then you're supposed to buy the 'full' Snow Leopard pack.

In reality, both the DVDs are the same and nobody really gives two hoots.
