TigerWoods 2008 demo (XboxLive)

Well, downloaded this last night - downloaded quite quickly.

Having not played a Tiger Woods game properly before I found it very easy.
Putting was a bit challenging, but you get the hang of it reasonably quickly.

That's because you are playing as Tiger who's stats will basically maxed out. If you started from scratch it would be harder.

Why can't they make it look more like Everybody's Golf on the PS3 (the graphics that is)

I'm pretty sure its because the settings are on easy, no matter how hard I do a putt it always goes near the hole.

My game arrived today.
Graphics are noticably better than last years (cog hill is a beauty).
I'm training my golfer which is hard going from 20th in the world to a complete flop lol.
Havent decided if im going to use the 3 click or analog swing yet as i like them both.
theres is ment to be a patch on the way that address's some freezing issues on the tiger challenge mode.

anyone got their copy yet?
thoughts/comments ?

PS- not tried it online yet (waiting to build my player stats first)

I tried out the Game Face with my vision camera this morning, it took 15 mins and the result was awful and bore no resemblance to me. I will try uploading a digital image to the website when it is working again to see if I get better results. The plus point is that you can add a photo face at a later date to your golfer.

I had the same trouble, on my second attempt I actually got a really good likeness though it takes way too long to do!

As said above if you play as tiger you will be maxed out, you need to start a new player off and then build up, it takes a while. I played 07 to death and will pick this up today if i can.

Did you pick a copy up?

challanges seem a bit tougher initialy.
my player is only on 22% for all attributes so far lol.
I tend to play with the analog swing but putt with the 3 click system.

I bought this today, traded a few old games in so only had a few quid to pay. Demo was really good I thought and it's a long time since I played a golf game, PGA Tour Golf on the Megadrive was the last one I owned I believe :cool:

Bought it on saturday but decorating me playpen (games room) so only played 5 mins on it, graphically looks good then sometimes maybe worse than 07, looking forward to getting into it and finishing the tiger challenge as its much bigger then 07's

Gamespot said in their review of the game, that there was a bug that prevented you from finishing the Tiger Challenge... plus many other bugs in the game. I would be interested to hear what people here make of the game as this has put me right off!

I enjoyed last years game and i dont think it looks any better if anything slightly worse ( golfer animation) but then again i am only going by the demo and cant see the full game being much different .

One of the hallenges is bugged for some people, it's being addressed in the patch.

Luckily the affected challenge didn't bug for me at all although my friend has been unable to complete it.

So far I haven't had one problem and I'm really enjoying this version.

Do you get jaggies around the player ?? because on the demo i seemed to get a lot but the course itself looked pretty good .

Anybody got the gameface to work?

I have uploaded my pics, go into gamerface, it can see my pic, I choose it and then it doesn't put it into the frame :confused:

Yeah the jaggies on the player are quite bad

I got it to work using my Live vision camera OK, I haven't uploaded a photo and done it that way. I know my friend was having trouble getting his uploaded due to server issues.

I got passed the server issues, just this part I can't do

may go and buy the cam as will need it for PES2008 anyway
