TightVNC: least processor use

TightVNC seems to be fairly widely used. I'm using it over LAN only.

I just started trying it for monitoring DCN crunchers. I'd like to use a setup that has lowest processing requirement. The "high bandwidth" profile has something like "hextile" set as the protocol. I was thinking tho that the "raw" protocol sounds like something that would require least processing. Also I tried setting the screen polling to every 5000 ms instead of 1000 ms. In view-only mode that did NOT seem to change the screen updates to every 5 seconds. I'm assuming also that unchecking "copyrect" prevents it from comparing if regions of the screen have changed... that's what my knowledge of the "copyrect" related functions of the windows API suggest to me.

Anyone that's been using TightVNC for a while know the very least processing intensive server-side setting? I haven't had time to try different combos and monitor what resource use is.

Thanks
