hoping someone can help me with this....

basically it's my first time tiling and i've got a query i don't know who to ask:

you tile half a wall and some excess goes on and sets. you remove the stuff you can but it's still discoloured ie the colour of the adhesive. can you tile over it still or is it best to wipe it down with water or something? the walls already have PVA on them.

didn't have the time to check the replies but it's all done for the time being. just gotta tile the corners next weekend. so 3 walls down - corners to go. :)

considering i'd never picked a tile up before i thought i did ok. not amazing but not pathetic either - 3 walls tiled in ensuite (only about 4 foot a side) from floor to ceiling and had to chisel a bit and make a routing etc. :)

if you weren't going to read the advice given...what was the point in asking for it?

because non was given before i had to shoot out and then had to ply on with it regardless. :) not expecting a reply within the first hour or two and i didn't get around checking again so i just ended up winging it. :)

You have a tiny bathroom :D

ensuite. ;) Just the shower area that *NEEDS* to be tiled. depending on how i got on depended on the rest. half the ensuite wall had been started years ago and unfortunately it wasn't finished so i've had to amble through an unfinished project and my dad died before he finished it or i took an interest. :( the annoying thing (for me!) is that he never ever made notes. everything he knew or planned was in his head so i've just gotta try and do it with a logical process. :)
