Which TIM would be preferable an AIO ?

I have IC-Diamond at the moment and while it does an excellent job I'm worried about it staining the GPU die as it has done my CPU's IHS.

Curious about the answer to this one as I have an EVGA to fit on my TX. It may or may not come with some already on it but Im a sucker for a few degrees ;)

The EVGA cooler comes with TIM pre-applied but I'm waiting for the Corsair bracket and getting an H80i GT as I'd prefer the overall looks, Even the H80i GT comes with it pre-applied but I'm just curious about better TIM's for GPU's :)

I've found MX-4 works well on GPUs - not upto speed on what is the very best these days though - see a lot of hype surrounding new ones but often seems to be more hype than substance.

Yeah I looked of that one but like the fact the EVGA one has the shroud and takes care of the vrm cooling

I know 8 pack said not to use ic diamond on gpu. Although there has been a lot of people use it. I'm pretty sure he said something like mx4.i used with the ek stuff that came with my water block

I'm using Gelid at the moment but to be honest they are all pretty much of a muchness, barely 1-2 degrees seperate the top 10 pastes so just get whatever you can for a decent price, it isn't worth spending say twice as much for less than a degree

+1

My vote would be for MX4 , it spreads with no fuss , you can get a nice thin layer, you can use the pea method without issue and its just the nicest to work with imho.

I've used the new Kryonaught and IC Diamond and both have the consistency of a concrete smoothie and take too much time and effort to get a good mount which might be fine for beating world overcocking records but just a pain to use day to day.

I've used IC Diamond for 3 years, no problems whatsoever. Saved me a fair few degrees in temps also.
