Bought a new mobo and kept asking me to enter bios every time i turned the pc on. The date and time was always wrong, same in windows.

So, bought 2 brand new batteries. Repolaced the mobo battery twice but still this same issue comes up. Yes i did save changes in bios too when altering date and time.

Any ideas?

all settings i think.

Not sure what it can be. All items are new too! Sometimes it is ok for a few re-boots then all of a sudden it acts up again! Faulty mobo?

It does say 'CMOS Checksum Error' too at startup.

That normally shows up when the bios has not saved settings, so sounds very like either it's a dodgy bios, dodgy battery holder, or the board is toast.

Either way, send it from whence it came :D

This may sound daft, but I presume you have the CR2032 battery not the thinner CR2025 battery. I couldn't tell from you post if this was you first system build. Apologies if your an IT guru with 20 years experience. :)

I just like to cover all possibilities hence my post.
