Lo all,
I understand there's a known issue with the TC dieing suddenly and I'm a bit concerned with my 1TB (dual band).
The thing that bothers me is that there's no off switch or any way of 'shutting down' the HDD. You pretty much just turn it off at the wall.
I've always believed that HDDs don't like to be suddenly turned off so could this be the cause of their short lifespan?
The reason I ask is that my GF turns off all of the power sockets (except the fridge
) before leaving the house.
If the TC is getting switched on and off at least once a day, what affect is it going to have?
Cheers,
Panzer
