If i buy say a 500GB Time Capsule, and in a years time i find 500GB is not enough, can i swap the hard drive to something bigger?

Not fussed about warrenty or anything, i just want to know if its possible.

1) Silly question maybe, but why are you anticipating that 500GB won't be enough?
2) Why not buy the 1TB straight away?

I think you can daisy chain time machines... I also think you can add an external USB hard disk to the port on it.

Well i have a 500gb disk in my MBP, its running at about 60% now. My time machine disk is full.

The 1T is well over £300, its a little steep. The margin must be insane on it.

I was thinking get a 500GB now and swap it to a 2TB or whatever later.

I know you can stick exta disks on the USB port, but its an exta box, an extra plug, wires etc, i gneally hate clutter.

Found a guide, looks easy. Thanks
